1. How Do I Care For My Clay Jewelry?

The best thing about polymer clay jewelry is that it is lightweight--wearing statement jewelry doesn't have to destroy your earlobes. However, polymer clay jewelry is to be handled with care. Polymer clay is durable and can bend, but does have a breaking point. Do not bend or drop.  Do not wear your design in the shower or while swimming. Keep away from harsh chemicals, flammable substances, and cosmetics. Your design can be wiped carefully with a microfiber cloth to remove unwanted marks and smudges.

Jewelry with brass findings can be polished with the enclosed polishing cloth to maintain its luster. It is advisable to store your jewelry in the muslin bag and/or microfiber pouch provided to prevent damage.

All handmade earrings are designed with hypoallergenic and nickel-free earring posts/clip-ons.

2. What is 18 Karat Gold-Filled Jewelry? How to care for Gold-Filled Jewelry?

18K gold-filled jewelry is a beautiful balance between luxury and everyday wear. Unlike gold-plated pieces, which have only a thin layer of gold, gold-filled jewelry is made by bonding a thick layer of 18-karat gold to a durable metal base — usually jeweler’s brass.

That means your piece has real gold on the outside, where it touches your skin, giving it the same shine and elegance as solid gold — without the solid-gold price tag. 

It’s tarnish-resistant, hypoallergenic, and made to stand up to your everyday life — from coffee runs to celebrations. With a little care, your jewelry can stay radiant and golden for years to come. 

1. Keep it clean. After wearing, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, dry cloth to remove natural oils, lotion, or perfume. This helps maintain its radiant shine.

2. Avoid chemicals + harsh products. Your jewelry doesn’t love hairspray, chlorine, or cleaning products — they can dull its golden finish. Think of your jewelry as the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off.

3. Store it safely. Keep each piece in its own pouch or jewelry box to prevent scratches or tangles. A cool, dry place away from moisture is best.

4. Shower or swim? Not today, queen. While gold-filled jewelry is durable, constant exposure to water or soaps can shorten its lifespan. Keep it dry to keep it glowing.

3. What's The Difference Between Gold-Filled, Gold-Plated and Solid Gold? 

Let’s break it down simply — because not all “gold” is created equal 💛

💎 Solid Gold:

This is pure gold through and through — gorgeous, timeless, and the most expensive option. It’s perfect for heirloom pieces meant to last for generations.

🌿 Gold-Filled:

I call it "Affordable Luxury" or Semi-Fine Jewelry. Gold-filled jewelry has a thick layer of real gold that’s pressure-bonded to a core metal like jeweler’s brass. It’s much more durable than gold-plated and can last for years without tarnishing or fading. You get the look and feel of solid gold — at a fraction of the cost.

✨ Gold-Plated:

This option has a very thin layer of gold that’s electroplated over a base metals like surgical stainless steel. Here at Sunni Dineen Handcrafted Design, we source the very best gold-plated materials that are non-tarnish and waterproof; however, a lot of brands sell beautiful gold-plated jewelry, but not meant for daily wear — the gold layer can wear off faster over time if not cared for properly. 

4. How Do I Care For My Home Design?

Sunni Dineen Handcrafted Home Designs are NOT MICROWAVE SAFE NOR DISHWASHER SAFE. Wipe down gently with water or a damp cloth; avoid harsh cleaning products, chemicals, or abrasive materials as this may damage the surface of your design. To avoid staining, gently wipe away any contaminants as soon as possible. Aqua Resin is highly durable, but has a breaking point—handle your design with care.

Note: All home designs have been sealed with food-grade safe wax and/or sealant should you decide to use it for food or beverage serving. All home décor products are handmade and colors are hand-mixed. Due to the handmade nature of the products, no two pieces are exactly alike. Each piece has slight variances (i.e. air bubbles and hue) that add to its uniqueness.

3. Do You Remake Sold Out Designs?

Yes! A re-creation of a sold out design will also be known as a Custom Designs.
