Accessories Hate to See Me Coming!

It’s true—accessories and I have had a complicated relationship for years. Not because they don’t want to be seen, but because once they’re mine, they're sure to be worn, flaunted and forever loved. Maybe that's why I still have drawers and shelves full of accessories--from luxury to costume.

I didn’t wake up one day and say, “I’m going to create a brand centered around statement pieces.”  It started way before that—back when I was just “The Accessory Queen” to my friends. Club nights, concerts, and late-night adventures wouldn’t start until I had accessorized everybody. And yes, that meant digging through drawers, bags and shelves of earrings, bangles, handbags and shoes because if your outfit wasn’t right, I was going to fix it before you walked out the door.

There was something so satisfying about it. Finding the perfect piece that would take a simple dress or a pair of jeans and turn them into something that felt special. I wasn’t just about matching colors—it was about creating a moment. And those moments sparked something in me.

At the time, I didn’t realize it, but those wild nights of accessorizing my friends became my creative foundation. I didn’t just want to wear accessories; I wanted to design them. I wanted to create pieces that could live in someone’s wardrobe the same way they lived in mine—as staples, conversation starters, and confidence boosters.

That’s why Sunni Dineen Handcrafted Design exists. It’s more than just jewelry or home accents. It’s about designing accessories that make you feel something. Every piece I design is tied to a memory, an experience, or a moment when I realized just how powerful the right accessory could be.

And, when I say accessories hate to see me coming, I mean it. They know they’re about to be worn with love, purpose, and maybe even a little bit of extra attitude.
